During the fixed term period (02/02/2026 - 31/01/2027), you will have the opportunity to develop core competencies in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O&G), establishing a strong foundation for advanced specialist training and a future career in the field. As an unaccredited registrar, you will play a key role in coordinating care for both inpatient and outpatient cases, and will be actively involved in the weekend roster, ensuring continuity of care and gaining valuable hands-on experience.
Working within a large regional Obstetrics and Gynaecology service, you will enhance your procedural skills in women's health while taking on responsibility for the day-to-day care and oversight of patients in the Maternity and Gynaecology units. You will work closely with consultant Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, contributing to high-quality patient care and developing your clinical expertise.
A comprehensive registrar teaching program will be available to you, offering valuable exposure to medical students and junior medical staff.
The hospital is a secondary level general hospital with clinical operations encompassing acute, allied health, cancer, dental and mental health services, a wide range of general medical, surgical and specialty services including but not limited to; Oncology, Cardiology, Renal, Emergency, Women's and Children's, Critical Care, Specialist Clinics, Cancer Clinics and Mental Health Services.
Professional Requirements
- Medical Degree
- Completed prevocational training
- Eligible for general AHPRA registration
- PGY4+ level of experience
