Job Overview
Opportunity to work in a CICM accredited Intensive Care Medicine Department commencing January 2026.

The ICU is an accredited Training Site under the College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM). It is credentialed for CICM Foundation training, 6-months of Core Intensive Care Medicine Training (C6 accreditation) and 6-months Elective training as a General and Rural/Regional unit. 

Rotations in the medical, emergency medicine and anaesthetic departments are recognised for training purposes. All terms fulfil requirements for the Rural component of CICM training. The unit is credentialed for Phase 0, 1, 2 and 3 (Transition Year) CICM trainees (2024 classification) and can support Part 1 and Part 2 CICM examination preparation, along with CICM Formal Research projects.


Rotations may include:
  • Intensive Care Medicine
  • Emergency Medicine
  • Anaesthetics
  • Paediatric Medicine
  • Adult Longitudinal Medicine

The hospital is a secondary level general hospital with clinical operations encompassing acute, allied health, cancer, dental and mental health services, a  wide range of general medical, surgical and specialty services including but not limited to; Oncology, Cardiology, Renal, Emergency, Women's and Children's, Critical Care, Specialist Clinics, Cancer Clinics and Mental Health Services.

Professional Requirements
  • Medical Degree
  • Completed prevocational training
  • Eligible for general AHPRA registration
  • PGY4+ level of experience
