Seeking a registrar in obstetrics and gynaecology, available to start work in October 2025 for a fixed term 6 month contract. Excellent clinical experience in a leading tertiary hospital in New Zealand's North Island. Competitive compensation with relocation support and visa sponsorship.
Position highlights
- a tertiary referral and teaching hospital with level 1 major trauma centre located 90 minutes drive from Auckland
- 5,500 deliveries per year
- facilities include a seven bed delivery suite, two high dependency beds, a women’s acute assessment unit, antenatal, postnatal and gynaecological inpatient wards, a dedicated outpatient’s service and modern theatres.
- The O&G team consists of 15 consultants, 17 registrars & 9 senior house officers.
- RANZCOG training department, with learning opportunities in many specialist gynaecology areas including Gynae oncology, minimal access surgery, Urogynaecology and Colposcopy, plus High Risk Obstetrics, including a dedicated Pre-term Birth Clinic.

Requirements
- Medical Degree
- Eligible for provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- PGY3+ level
- Recent experience in both acute gynaecology and obstetrics is essential as well as experience in antenatal care both inpatient and outpatient
