Job Overview

Seeking a registrar in emergency medicine for a full time position in a tertiary hospital in New Zealand's North Island. Competitive compensation with relocation support and visa sponsorship. Starts October 2025 with a permanent contract.

Position highlights 
  • a tertiary referral and teaching hospital with level 1 major trauma centre located 90 minutes drive from Auckland
  • High-quality educational program for preparation ACEM Primary and Fellowship Examinations
  • Pre-hospital care and Paediatric Emergency Medicine
  • Opportunity to gain supervised experience in the management of all types of acute presentations to ED in a friendly department, whether you are/ are interested in becoming an ED trainee, or would just like to broaden your clinical exposure
  • Weekly Departmental CME Sessions including specific procedural teaching and focus on human factors
  • Inspiring multi-cultural team of RMO / SMOs with expertise in Point of Care Ultrasound, Toxicology, Medical Education
  • 40 hour week plus on call rota

Requirements
  • Medical Degree
  • Eligible for provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
  • PGy3 minimum level

Remuneration
  • salary and allowances in accordance with STONZ or NZRDA scales or IEA
  • visa sponsorship
  • 6 weeks paid vacation PA
  • 6% superannuation
