A general physician / internist is sought for a full time fixed term position in a secondary care hospital in New Zealand's North Island. Relocation package for international candidates.

- 40 hour week plus on call duties
Duties
The successful candidate will:
- Manage in patients and out patients
- Assess and treat acute presentations and chronic conditions
- Provide specialist opinion to other departments
- Mentor junior medical staff attached to the service.
- Participate in the on call rota
Professional Requirements
The ideal applicant will have:
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians or equivalent.
- Eligible for an Annual Practising Certificate with a vocational scope of General Medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with patients and colleagues.
- Commitment to teamwork, patient-centred care, and continuous professional development.
- Salary (SECA Collective Agreement scales) plus allowances for on call and extra duties
