A consultant adult general psychiatrist is sought for a full time permanent position with a community psychiatry service which provides a range of services for people aged 18-65 with moderate to severe mental health difficulties.
Duties:
- work in multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and occupational therapists
- assess, diagnose and treat patients referred to the service
- participate on on call rota
- educate and supervise resident doctors
Remuneration
- ASMS Scale salary for 40 hour work week plus additional on call allowances
- superannuation
- 6 weeks annual leave
- relocation package for international physicians
- FRANZCP or equivalent qualification
- Vocationally registered in Psychiatry with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) or hold equivalent qualification and be able qualify for registration with MCNZ.
