Contract Type: Fixed Term (12 months) | Full Time (part-time considered)

An excellent opportunity is available for experienced Consultant Obstetricians & Gynaecologists to join a high-performing tertiary referral service. These positions offer the chance to work within a modern, multidisciplinary maternity and gynaecology unit delivering comprehensive care across both elective and acute settings.

You will contribute to a well-established service providing complex obstetric and gynaecological care, supported by strong academic links and a commitment to clinical excellence, innovation, and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality specialist care in Obstetrics, Gynaecology, or combined practice
  • Participate in an on-call roster ensuring continuous service provision
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior medical staff
  • Actively contribute to teaching, training, and research activities
  • Engage in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes
Essential Requirements
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (or equivalent)
  • Eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex obstetric and/or gynaecological cases
  • Strong commitment to education, research, and continuous professional development
  • Proven ability to lead and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
