We are looking for a junior doctor at PGY3 level or higher. The candidate should have 6 months of experience in anaesthesia. This position is for a registrar in anaesthesia at a regional secondary care centre.
Commence date: July 28th 2025
Position Highlights
- Full time role in 360 bed public sector secondary care hospital
- There are currently nine theatres, two procedure rooms and a cardiac lab.
- 24 full time consultants supported by 9 anaesthesia registrars
- group of consultants interested in difficult airway management with innovative techniques (e.g., Jet ventilation, THRIVE).
- Regional anaesthesia is encouraged with most anaesthetists proficient in ultrasound guided nerve blocks.
- Regular CPEX and multidisciplinary high-risk peri-operative clinic for consultants with an interest and experience in assessment and optimisation of higher risk patients and procedures
- Teaching Hospital affiliated with 2 medical schools
- University city in the north island of New Zealand
- Manage in patients and out patients
- 40 hour week plus on call duties

- Medical Degree

Remuneration
- Salary paid in accordance with NZRDA or STONZ scales
