Position Details
- Full time post starting January 2027
The Intensive Care Unit is an accredited training site with the College of Intensive Care Medicine and offers:
- Foundation ICU training
- Core Intensive Care Medicine Training (C6 accreditation)
- Elective training in a regional/rural ICU setting
- A guaranteed 6-month Intensive Care Unit rotation
- Additional rotations which may include:
- Emergency Medicine
- Palliative Care Medicine
- Intensive Care Medicine
- Anaesthetics (for eligible CICM trainees)
Training & Professional Development
The ICU supports:
- Phase 0, 1, 2 and 3 CICM trainees
- Preparation for CICM Part 1 and Part 2 examinations
- Formal CICM research projects
- Rural and regional training requirements
- Strong consultant supervision and mentorship
Flexible Contract Options Depending on applicant experience and training requirements, positions may offer:
- 12 to 36-month contracts
- Part-time opportunities (0.5 FTE)
- Potential six-month appointments in exceptional circumstances
