Role Overview
Helpers provide essential day-to-day personal care to elderly clients, supporting comfort, dignity, and independence. Working under care plans ( zorgplannen ), Helpers play a key role in monitoring wellbeing and ensuring continuity of care through clear reporting and handovers.
Helpers who obtain additional certification may progress to Helper Plus, allowing them to carry out expanded clinical tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, eating and drinking
- Support mobility and daily routines in line with individual care plans
- Observe changes in physical or mental condition and report to senior staff
- Ensure accurate documentation and professional handover between shifts
- Maintain a respectful, client-centred approach at all times
- Basic wound care
- Stoma and catheter care
- Administration of non-risk medication
Salary based on 36 hours is 2.455 euro gross (approx. € 2265 neZ)
§ Irregularity bonus (see appendix)
§ 425 euro neZ per month as reloca5on support (for max. 18 months)
§ 175 neZ per month rental support (for max. 18 months)
§ Pension, aaer 7 weeks
§ Annual holiday allowance, 8% (paid in May)
§ End of the year bonus, 13th month
§ Travel expenses for work, 0,17 euro per KM
§ 30 holidays
= 2865 net/month minimum
Requirements
- Relevant Level 2 qualification or equivalent
- Compassionate approach to elderly care
- Willingness to work shifts within an annualised hours system
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- EU Citizen (no visa sponsorship available)
