A highly regarded regional health service in Victoria is seeking Emergency Medicine Specialists (FACEM) to join a dynamic and forward-thinking Emergency Department. The Service
The Emergency Department forms part of a regional trauma service supporting a catchment population of approximately 240,000 across Western Victoria.
- ~57,000 ED presentations annually
- Broad clinical caseload: major trauma, acute medicine, and primary care
- ~28% paediatric presentations
- Dedicated Fast Track area
- 12-bed Short Stay Unit
- Increasing patient acuity aligned with Australasian Triage Scale trends
Role Overview
As an Emergency Physician, you will:
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centred emergency care
- Provide clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team
- Supervise and support junior medical staff and trainees
- Contribute to teaching, education, and mentoring activities
- Participate in quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives
- Balance clinical responsibilities with non-clinical and academic interests
- Fellowship of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or equivalent qualification
- Registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA
- Demonstrated experience in multidisciplinary team environments
- Strong clinical leadership and communication skills
- Commitment to teaching, education, and continuous professional development
- Proven involvement in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
