- work with a dedicated and friendly community mental health team of psychiatrists, nurses and psychologists providing services to a diverse population of Auckland
- accredited, 850-bed, teaching hospital of Auckland University and University of Otago, well-known internationally for world class work in orthopaedics; burns and spinal injury rehabilitation
- work in a 20 bed, free-standing residential facility which serves men with complex and persistent psychiatric disability who are in need of a longer-term, supportive recovery programme in order to prepare for life in the community.
- join a psychiatric community of 70 physicians
- have allocated time and opportunity to participate in weekly Grand Rounds, peer review, continuing medical education, and quality improvement, in support of your on-going professional development.
- participate in medical student and RMO teaching
- excellent opportunities for CPD and career development
- FRANZCP or equivalent qualification
- Eligible for vocational registration within the scope of psychiatry with the Medical Council of New Zealand or Special Purpose Locum Tenens registration
The remuneration packages defined by the SECA Collective Agreement
- basic salary for a 40 hour week and additional allowances for on Call Duty
- six weeks holiday per year
- 10 days study leave plus an allowance of 16,000 dollars per year
- relocation package covering cost of removal to New Zealand
- superannuation
