Position Highlights
- Full time permanent employment contract with a leading public sector healthcare organisation

Hospital
- 350-bed secondary hospital in the Lower North Island of New Zealand. Palmerston North Hospital which offers most medical and surgical specialties with the exception of Cardiothoracic, Plastic and Neurosurgery.
- It serves a local population of 180,000. It is also the base for a regional head and neck oncology service. This service is responsible for a population of 600,000
- Clinical Haematology, Radiation Oncology, and Medical Oncology services offer both inpatient and outpatient care. They manage many blood-related conditions. These include acute leukaemia, lymphoma, stem cell transplantation, plasma exchange, and issues with bleeding and clotting.
- Out patient clinics run at various sites across the region
- The department maintains an active clinical research portfolio including clinical trials.
- The service is an approved FRACP training center. It provides active postgraduate teaching for House Officers, Senior House Officers, and Registrars. Multi-disciplinary case meetings (Tumour Boards) are held locally and regionally.
- Medical Degree recognised by WHO
- FRACP or equivalent specialist qualification
- Interest in solid tumours
- Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, or be eligible for vocational or provisional vocational registration
- Salary ASMS scale for 40 hour week plus allowances NZD 220,000 - 400,00 PA
- 6 weeks annual leave
