Position Highlights
- suitable for a PGY3 or above RMO with basic experience in psychiatry
- Psychiatry department service spans community mental health, the inpatient unit, acute services, and ICAMHS, working collaboratively to provide holistic, culturally responsive care across the full spectrum of mental health needs
- The Registrar in Psychiatry/SHO will be responsible for the delivery of mental health assessment and treatment of both hospital and community whanau
- The Registrar in Psychiatry/SHO will work under specialist Psychiatrist supervision at all times.
- You will carry out outpatient clinics, ward work and on-calls with a specialist psychiatrist available to you at all times
- Located in a region with an excellent lifestyle, from scenic hiking spots to great schools
- Medical Degree recognised by WHO
- Experience PGY3+ minimum
- Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, or be eligible for general or provisional general registration
- Salary RADA or STONZ scale or IEA
