- 115 bed general hospital proving secondary medical and surgical services with tertiary referral to Hamilton
- Medical Department is accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) for Basic and Advanced Trainees.
- the opportunity to develop skills in general medicine
- inpatient duties include participation in medical admissions and management with an unselected medical take
- educational opportunities include weekly journal club, protected teaching and clinical skills sessions
- Salary dependent upon experience and STONZ/ NZRDA scales
- superannuation 6%
- 6 weeks annual leave
- Study leave 10 days PA plus NZD 16K PA
