Job Overview
This position is based in a secondary care public sector hospital providing medial and surgical services across a coastal region. There is a dual scope of practice - acute general medicine and nephrology - with participation in an on call rota.

Position Highlights

The hospital is a 360 bed public sector general secondary care facility providing 24 hour elective and emergency medical and surgical services. The local tertiary referral centre is Auckland. It supports a satellite 110 bed hospital in the region.

The Bay of Plenty is a large region along the northern coast of New Zealand's North Island. It stretches 260 kilometres from the Coromandel Peninsula in the west to Cape Runaway in the east. The Bay of Plenty region is home to spectacular beaches, juicy kiwifruit and geothermal wonders.

Requirements
  • Medical Degree recognised by WHO 
  • FRACP or equivalent specialist qualification
  • Fellowship / Sub specialist training in nephrology
  • Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, or be eligible for vocational or provisional vocational registration
