A rarely available opportunity for a general physician in the popular Bay of Plenty region of New Zealand's North Island. A full time, permanent position in a regional secondary care hospital with scope of practice acute general medicine with options for subspecialist practice.
- Manage in patients and out patients
- on call rota participation for acute general medicine
- work with a team of over 20 physicians supported by registrars and house officers
- Cover general medical wards and the Acute Assessment and Planning unit.
- Take a role in teaching junior doctors
Professional requirements
To be eligible for this position you must hold FRACP or an equivalent specialist qualification and be eligible for provisional vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in the scope of general medicine.
Remuneration
- Salary determined by SECA Collective Agreement plus allowances for on call duties
- 6 weeks annual leave
