- 0.75 FTE permanent employment contract with a leading public sector healthcare organisation
- Provide 24/7 emergency care in a busy rural ED
- shift based work pattern
- ED has a diverse case mix with a high percentage of paediatric cases

- ED accredited for 24 months ACEM advanced training
- strong focus on education and development of the emergency medicine, nursing and allied health workforce.

Responsibilities
- Provide general emergency medicine services from the emergency department
- Teach and supervise resident medical officers (RMOs)
- Contribute to this hospital's wider medical team as an active and collaborative member.
- Medical Degree recognised by WHO
- FACEM or equivalent specialist qualification in emergency medicine
- Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, or be eligible for vocational or provisional vocational registration
- Rural medicine experience is helpful as is experience in paediatrics, geriatric medicine and psychiatry
- Salary ASMS scale for 40 hour week
- 6 weeks annual leave
