The role requires a candidate who would be able to provide expert surgical and non-surgical care for a wide range of spinal conditions, including degenerative diseases, trauma, and tumours.
- Perform advanced procedures, including minimally invasive spine surgery and complex spinal reconstructions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of orthopaedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, physiotherapists, and pain specialists.
- Contribute to clinical teaching, research and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in on-call rosters for acute spinal and trauma cases and participate in the Orthopaedic or Neurosurgery call roste
Requirements
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (FRACS) - orthopaedics or neurosurgery, or an equivalent qualification and be eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).
- Fellowship in spinal surgery
- Proven expertise in spinal surgery, including minimally invasive techniques and complex cases
Remuneration
- salary and allowances NZD 200,000 - 450,000 PA DOE

- 6 weeks paid vacation PA
