We are currently recruiting for a Consultant Radiologist to join a leading public healthcare provider in the picturesque region of Taranaki, located on the west coast of New Zealand’s North Island. This permanent, full-time role offers an excellent balance of professional fulfilment and lifestyle.
About the Role
You will be working within a dynamic team of radiologists and multidisciplinary colleagues at a modern, fully equipped facility. The radiology department provides state-of-the-art imaging and diagnostic services across the following modalities:
- General X-ray
- CT (upgraded 2022)
- MRI (upgraded 2022)
- Ultrasound (upgraded 2022)
- Interventional procedures
- Angiography
- Nuclear Medicine
- Fluoroscopy
Additional leadership and subspecialty opportunities are available for experienced candidates, including:
- Director of Training for an emerging accredited training facility
- Clinical Lead Breast Radiology
- Clinical Lead MRI
About You
The successful candidate will possess:
- Proven skills in general plain film, ultrasound, CT, and MRI reporting.
- Sub-specialty interests in musculoskeletal MRI, interventional radiology (non-intracranial), CT colonography, cardiac CT, or nuclear medicine would be advantageous.
- Vocational registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Medical Council of New Zealand .
- Applicants with recognised postgraduate qualifications from outside New Zealand are encouraged to apply.
- Salary (ASMS Scale)
- Additional allowances for on call and extra duties
- Relocation assistance and a generous continuing medical education (CME) allowance with remunerated leave may be available for suitable applicants.
- Superannuation 6%
- 6 weeks annual leave
