JOB OVERVIEW

Seeking a full time, permanent consultant paediatrician for a role with a leading regional secondary care hospital. 

Position Highlights

  • Permanent employment contract
  • 40 hour working week plus on call 1 in 8
  • cover the broad gamut of acute paediatrics
  • department includes a 14-bed level 2A neonatal unit taking babies 28 weeks gestation (1000g) and over.
  • The service is supported by dedicated Paediatric RMOs on site at all times.
  • You will enjoy a range of outpatient clinics in the hospital and the community. 
  • enjoy excellent liaison with tertiary colleagues from Starship and Wellington, who all visit on a regular basis.

Professional Requirements
  • FRACP or equivalent specialist qualification in paediatrics
  • Vocational registration or eligibility for vocational/provisional registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in the scope of paediatrics
Remuneration
  • salary paid in accordance with ASMS scale, dependent upon experience level 
  • 6 weeks annual leave
  • Superannuation
  • Study leave allowance of 10 days and NZD 16,000 expenses
  • Comprehensive relocation package
  • Reimbursement of medical licence costs
