Seeking a consultant interventional cardiologist for a full time permanent contract with a tertiary hospital in New Zealand's North Island. Competitive compensation with relocation support and visa sponsorship.

Position highlights 
  • a tertiary referral and teaching hospital located 90 minutes drive from Auckland
  • world-class facilities, with cutting-edge technology and equipment,
  • perform a wide range of interventional cardiology procedures, including angioplasty, stenting, embolization, biopsy, and drainage procedures. 
  • 40 hour working week plus on call duties
  • join a well-established and dynamic team of 20 Cardiologists and 6 cardiac surgeons
  • 4 cardiac catheterisation labs including a custom-built hybrid lab with technology to perform real time fusion imaging.
  • department is a leading national centre for structural heart disease intervention and are developing a pioneering cardiac imaging service.

Requirements
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP)  or an equivalent qualification and be eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).
  • Fellowship in interventional cardiology
  • comprehensive training and experience in complex coronary intervention.
  • Additional experience in CT coronary angiography and echocardiography is desirable.

Remuneration
  • salary and allowances NZD 200,000 - 450,000 PA DOE
  • relocation package

  • study leave and allowance of NZD 16K pa
  • 6 weeks paid vacation PA
