Position Overview
- Full time fixed term employment contract with a leading public sector healthcare organisation
- 40 hour working week, shift based
- Provide acute, rehabilitation and elective services for older people.

Responsibilities
- Clinical responsibilities in the department include management of patients admitted for acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, ambulatory clinics, clinics, consultations across other specialities (including a dedicated Orthogeriatrics service) and providing telephone advice to primary care and other specialist clinicians.
- There are teaching opportunities across undergraduate (years 4-6) and postgraduate (basic and advanced trainees) medicine.
- Contribute to this hospital's wider medical team as an active and collaborative member.
- Medical Degree recognised by WHO
- FRACP or equivalent specialist qualification
- Subspecialist training in geriatric medicine
- Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, or be eligible for vocational or provisional vocational registration
- Salary ASMS scale for 40 hour week
- 6 weeks annual leave
