Seeking a specialist child and adolescent psychiatrist for a full time, permanent job with a premier regional general hospital providing secondary level medical and surgical services.
Position Highlights
- Permanent employment contract
- Work with mental health team based at the regional 400 bed hospital
- Provide out patient psychiatry services to children under age 18
- Scope of practice includes eating disorders, community liaison, psychotherapy
- Opportunities to mentor and develop junior doctors
- 40 hour working week plus on call duties
- FRANZCP or equivalent specialist qualification in Psychiatry
- Vocational registration or eligibility for vocational/provisional registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in the scope of psychiatry
- salary paid in accordance with ASMS scale
- 6 weeks annual leave
- Superannuation
- Study leave allowance of 10 days and NZD 16,000 expenses
