The team consists of 18 specialist cardiology consultants supported by junior doctors, advanced trainees, research nurses, sonographers, and other multidisciplinary professionals.
Position Highlights
- Provide independent cardiology support for Emergency Department (ED) and Assessment and Diagnostic Unit (ADU) patients
- Manage outpatient cardiology clinics, conducting patient assessments, follow-ups, and care coordination for referred or discharged patients.
- Participate in daily ADU multidisciplinary meetings , case conferences, and reviews.
- Dedicate FTE to conducting research in collaboration with the local research unit, contributing to publications in cardiology innovations.
- Participate in on-call rotations and ward referrals

- FRACP or equivalent qualification in internal medicine and cardiology
- Eligible for vocational registration with the Medial Council of New Zealand.

- Competitive remuneration package based upon level of experience and qualifications comprising basic salary and allowances NZD 200,000 - 350,000 PA based upon ASMS agreement
