Seeking an experienced consultant anaesthetist with experience in high dependency unit for a full time position in a public sector hospital in greater Wellington region New Zealand. This post provides attractive remuneration, generous paid leave, relocation expenses and visa sponsorship.

  • 40 hour week plus on call 1 in 5
  • scope of practice general anaesthesia, regional anaesthesia and HDU
  • opportunity to develop a private practice in the co-located private hospital
Masterton, Greater Wellington

Professional Requirements:
  • FANZCA or equivalent specialist qualification
  • Eligibility for Vocational Registration with the New Zealand Medical Council,
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills, essential for working within a diverse, multidisciplinary team.

Remuneration and Employee Benefits  
  1. salary paid in accordance with national pay scales for senior medical officers for basic 40 hour week plus additional allowances for on call duties
  2. Pension benefits 
  3. Study leave allowance NZD 16,000 PA plus 10 days leave
  4. No National Insurance deductions
