Seeking a consultant in anatomical pathology for a full time, permanent job in a tertiary hospital in New Zealand's largest city and commercial capital, Auckland.
Position Highlights
- Surgical Pathology Unit provides the histology and cytology services to two hospitals and Breast Screening programs in Auckland
- IANZ accredited, well equipped department processes approximately 57,000 specimens from 30,000 patients per year from a range of specialties including, but not limited to, gastroenterology, breast, gynaecology, genito-urinary, skin and head and neck.
- path lab is staffed by 12FTE specialist Anatomical Pathologists working as generalists with areas of subspecialist interest.
- department participates in the registrar rotation for the Auckland training scheme.
- experience in cytopathology is desired.
- medical degree and FRCPA or equivalent specialist qualification
- Eligible for vocational or provisional vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- should have experience in cytopathology
