Position Details
- Contract Dates: 1 February 2027 – 6 February 2028
- Classification: HM25 – HM30 (dependent on experience)
- Salary: As per Victorian Medical Officers Award
- Hours: 86 hours per fortnight (including 10 hours protected training time)
This position offers excellent clinical and operative experience within a busy Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery service working alongside experienced consultant surgeons.
The successful registrar will coordinate the care of both inpatient and outpatient plastic surgery patients while developing advanced operative and perioperative management skills in a supportive teaching environment.
The role includes participation in the weekend roster and provides extensive exposure to both elective and emergency plastic surgery.
Clinical Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating inpatient and outpatient Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery services
- Working closely with consultant plastic surgeons
- Managing perioperative patient care
- Participating in elective and emergency surgical services
- Contributing to the weekend on-call roster
- Delivering high-quality, patient-centred surgical care
