An excellent opportunity is available for a Consultant Endocrinologist seeking a flexible fractional appointment within a progressive regional health service in Victoria. This ongoing role offers up to 0.4 FTE, with the added benefit of integrating private practice opportunities locally.

You will join a collaborative and multidisciplinary consultant team, contributing to the delivery and expansion of endocrinology services across a large regional catchment. The position combines clinical service provision with opportunities in leadership, service development, and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality specialist endocrinology care across inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Participate in multidisciplinary care and contribute to integrated service delivery
  • Support clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives
  • Contribute to teaching, training, and supervision of junior medical staff
  • Engage in service development and innovation within endocrinology
The Service Environment
You will work within a modern, well-equipped regional tertiary hospital providing comprehensive services across acute medicine, surgery, cancer care, mental health, women's and children's health, and critical care.
The broader clinical division supports:
  • A large emergency department with over 60,000 annual presentations
  • Specialist outpatient services exceeding 100,000 appointments annually
  • A comprehensive cancer centre with integrated oncology, research, and clinical trials

Candidate Requirements
  • Fellowship of an appropriate specialist college (or equivalent)
  • Eligibility for specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
