The Opportunity
This Unaccredited Cardiology Registrar position offers a high-quality training experience within a busy regional cardiology service providing comprehensive acute and interventional care, including a 24/7 PCI service.

The successful applicant will work closely alongside accredited Advanced Training Registrars in Cardiology, with training aligned to the standards of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and the Cardiology Specialist Training Committee. The role provides broad exposure across the full spectrum of cardiology presentations and procedures, supporting strong preparation for future accredited cardiology training pathways.

Key Clinical Experience

The Registrar will gain experience across:
  • Acute and inpatient cardiology services
  • Coronary care and interventional cardiology exposure
  • Cardiac diagnostics and procedural skills development
  • Management of complex cardiovascular presentations
  • Participation in structured teaching programs and departmental education
  • Opportunities for research and audit participation
The role includes supervision and support of junior medical staff, including residents, and participation in a shared rotating on-call and weekend roster within the cardiology registrar team.

This role is suitable for Australian-based doctors and international candidates who meet eligibility and registration requirements.
