A Consultant Diagnostic and Interventional Radiologist is sought for a permanent role serving two closely linked Radiology Departments in New Zealand's North Island. The major hospital where the role is based, has 260 beds and serves a population of 134,000. It has embarked on significant campus redevelopment, with the expansion of emergency services and additional operating theatres. There is an internationally renowned plastic surgery and burns unit, regional rheumatology and public health services, and all specialties have a strong focus on excellence and innovation. The Radiology Department is well equipped with new CT and MRI scanners.
Lower Hutt City is located close to Wellington, the Kapiti Coast and Wairarapa regions and provides opportunities for most recreational pursuits, sporting and cultural activities.
In order to be considered for this role, you must have the following credentials:
- Eligibility for vocational registration in radiology with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- Fluent English communication (non native English speakers need IETLS Academic module with minimum score 7.5)
