Locum Registrar in Radiation Oncology sought for a full time role to cover materntity leave from 01 October 2018 until 28th April 2019. This is a fulll time post which is not accredited for training.
The role is based in a 375 bed hospital providing a broad range of Medical and Surgical subspecialties at a secondary level with Radiation Oncology as part of the Regional Cancer Treatment Service providing a tertiary level service to the Central Lower North Island. The Radiation Oncology Department is an accredited training site within the Faculty of Radiation Oncology Training Network New Zealand. There are six specialist physicians who all contribute to the training of registrars. There is both an established weekly teaching program and clinical teaching prior to the college examinations, as well as involvement in the Network Training Programme. In addition, the hospital is a teaching hospital, and is associated with both Auckland and Otago medical schools.
