We have an exciting new opening for a Consultant Psychiatrist working in acute and subacute general adult psychiatry in a regional hospital with extensive mental health services covering a population of almost 200,000 over a wide region. You will be part of a team of senior doctors, registrars and house-officer, providing clinical care and contributing to the medical leadership of the ward.

The province boasts a subtropical climate and some of the most scenic and exciting coastal areas in New Zealand. There are opportunities for outdoor activities, including surfing, diving, fishing, hiking and biking. On-site, there is a well-equipped staff gym and an open-air pool. Whangarei itself has all the convenient amenities of a modern, small city but the Auckland metropolis is only two hour's drive away for those special weekend activities.
- Qualifications: FRANZCP or equivalent qualification recognised by the Medical Council of New Zealand for vocational registration.
- License: Vocational Registration or Eligibility for Vocational Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- Language: fluent English (IELTS Academic Module 7.5 average for non native speakers)
