An experienced plastic surgeon registrar is sought for a full time role with one year renewable contract in a government sector hospital in Jeddah Saudi Arabia. The hospital holds JCI Accreditation for all hospital programmes since 2015, has 24/7 emergency department, 500 + beds and provides primary, secondary and selected tertiary care services including neurosurgery, ophthalmology, ENT, general surgery, urology, orthopaedics, cardiac surgery, internal medicine, intensive care, paediatrics, all medical and paediatric subspecialities, anaesthesia, radiology and full laboratory services.
The successful candidate will join a team of consultant, specialist and resident plastic surgeons performing general and specialised reconstructive surgery, managing in patients and out patient clinics. Part of the duties include teaching and supervision of residents and opportunities for clinical research are available and encouraged.
The employment contract is for 12 months duration and is renewable. Remuneration includes salary paid in local currency, tax free and readily transferrable, plus health care insurance, malpractice cover, accommodation, education allowance, 40 days annual leave public holidays and study leave, flights to home base and end of contract award.
In order to meet the eligibility criteria for this orthopaedic role, you must have:
- Medical degree from WHO approved school
- Residency in plastic surgery completed in western country
- Board certification or Fellowship in plastic surgery or general surgery with experience in plastic surgery
- Clean practice license in current jurisdiction
- Fluent English communication
