Role: Consultant Medical Oncologist
Hours: 32 per week
Contract: Fixed Term Contract for 10 weeks starting September 2021
This consultant role is based in the Regional Cancer Treatment Service which provides medical oncology, radiation oncology and clinical haematology services and for a fixed term 10 week contract working 32 hours per week, preferably commencing in September 2021 however the commencement date and end date of the 10 week period is negotiable.
The role will involve providing cancer care and the delivery of systemic therapy, supporting a team of specialist cancer nurses, supporting Multi-Disciplinary Meetings and providing HBDHB clinicians with advice on the management of the patient with cancer in the inpatient setting.
Applicants for this position must have, or be eligible for, vocational registration with the New Zealand Medical Council as well as having demonstrated clinical skills and the ability to work effectively within the multi-disciplinary team.
