House Officers PGY2+ July 2022 start North Island

Committed, enthusiastic and dynamic Senior House Officers are sought for new opportunities in New Zealand commencing July 2022.

The jobs are based in a level 5 hospital with acute services including general medicine and medical sub-specialities, cardiology, intensive care, paediatrics, O&G, mental health, orthopaedics, general and vascular surgery, urology, ENT and ophthalmology. Waikato Hospital is the adult tertiary referral service, Starship for the paediatric tertiary services.

Role Duties

  • working under the supervision of consultants and registrars, you will be responsible for the management of in patients, the arrangement of investigations, prescribing of drugs, maintenance of concise and up to date patient records and assessment and diagnosis of new admissions
  • on call duties covering evenings, nights and weekends

Skills and Qualifications

  • Applicants must hold or be eligible for general registration with the New Zealand Medical Council and this can be obtained by physicians working in one of the countries with comparable healthcare systems including UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, Australia, Spain, France, Germany, Netherlands, Greece Czech Republic, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Israel, Belgium
  • You must have completed internship or Foundation Year 1 (UK Graduates)
