- 359 bed Level 2 hospital with 24/7 ED and all usual medical and surgical services
- join a department of 18 Physicians who share general medical responsibilities
- lead a team which includes a registrar and a house officer.
Key Tasks
- join the Department of Medicine
- provide endocrinology services to out patients and in patients
- participate in acute medical assessment, admission and on call roster.
- teaching undergraduate (years 4-6) and postgraduate (basic and advanced trainees) in medicine.
Essentials
- hold or be eligible for vocational registration with the New Zealand Medical Council
- FRACP or equivalent
- Proficiency in management of endocrinological conditions including diabetes and gestational diabetes.
As well as excellent clinical skills, you will need to demonstrate proficiency in these key areas:

- Commitment to education and inspiration of junior medical staff, medical students and other health professionals studying at the University of Auckland and the Bay of Plenty Clinical School.
