Five emergency medicine registrar positions are waiting to be filled in New Zealand. The hospital ED has recently been accredited for 12 months of Australasian College for Emergency Medicine advanced training which makes these jobs very attractive for aspiring ER Consultants.
An additional plus is that the hospital is an Australasian Level 4 regional trauma centre with approximately 44,000 presentations per annum with 30%+ admission rate and high acuity paediatric and adult medical patients.
The Consultants leading the department have trained in Australia, New Zealand, UK and USA and all are FACEMs with a strong commitment to medical education. Excellent training facilities, teaching and research opportunities are available. The Fellowship preparation program is well established.
Eligible for General Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
Excellent communication skills and fluent English (IELTS of 7.5 required for non native English speakers)
