Emergency Medicine Registrars are sought for accredited training roles in New Zealand for comencement in 2018. Based with a district health board in the North Island, these positions offer a fantastic range of experience in the management of acute trauma and emergencies with the option of progressing to rotations in other specialities including ICU, paediatrics, anaesthetics and medicine.
The Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) is accredited for 12 months ACEM advanced training and paediatric log book requirements. You will work side by side with a dedicated team including 10 very experienced emergency physicians. The SMO group provides close supervision for trainees with a commitment to clinical teaching. You will gain experience in many procedures and develop your clinical skills to be the best. The SMOs enthusiastically lead weekly RMO teaching sessions as well as teaching for those sitting examinations.
In order to be considered for this role you will require the following:
- Medical Degree from WHO approved school
- Eligibility for general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
- No malpractice claims
- Clean medical practice license from country of practice
- Fluent English communication.
