Role: Consultant Radiologist in Breast Imaging
Scope of practice: diagnostic radiology, breast radiology for screening and symptomatic patients, interventional radiology
Contract: permanent, full time or part time
You will be providing consultant breast radiology services, which will facilitate the provision of appropriate high quality radiological services to the clinical specialities of Breast Screening Central and symptomatic breast services.
This includes an advisory and diagnostic service in all matters relating to radiological breast examinations, including determination of appropriate procedures, performing invasive diagnostic procedures, equipment evaluation, quality control, interpretation, advice and support to staff within Breast Screening and Symptomatic Breast Services staff.
You will be part of a dynamic and innovative department with a strong focus on ongoing quality improvement and positive relationships with clinical colleagues.
The role can be combined with general diagnostic radiology services.

The hospital provides secondary services for a population of approximately 148,000, as well as being the tertiary centre for regional plastic, maxillofacial and burns services, the regional rheumatology and school dental services and the greater Wellington public health and breast screening services.

Skill and Qualifications
Applicants must hold or be eligible for vocational registration with the New Zealand Medical Council and hold FRANZCR or equivalent qualifications.
