Consultant ENT Surgeon for New Zealand starting in summer 2017
This post, commencing in June 2017, is for a Consultant ENT Surgeon (Otorhinolaringologist) to join a general hospital in the North Island of New Zealand as a permanent Consultant, or alternatively, as a locum of fixed term duration. The scope of ENT practice is of a general nature, practised in a small ENT Department.
It is based in a general hospital providing services which include Internal Medicine, General Surgery, O&G, Orthopaedics, ENT, Psychiatry and Dentistry. In additional to general clinical services, the ENT Surgeon will be expected to provide supervision and education to junior medical staff and medical students.
Qualifications and Experience:
- FRACS or equivalent qualification which is accepted for Vocational Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
- Experience in General ENT suitable for independent practice
- Note that Locums need have General Registration only
Salary Package: according to National Pay Scales and dependent upon experience at Consultant level.
