Role – Registered Mental Health Nurse

Scope of practice: Mental health nursing in adult community mental health team

Contract: full time, permanent

Hours: 40 per week

Role Details

An experienced Registered Nurse to join a supportive, friendly multidisciplinary team within the Adult Community Mental Health Service base in Tauranga.

The team provides quality Mental Health Community Care to the Adult population of Papamoa, Mount Maunganui, Welcome Bay and Te Puke. The team consists of Psychiatrists, Psychologists and Registered Health Care Workers comprising of Nurses, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists.

You need to be willing to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.  We are looking for teammates who are passionate about lifelong learning in this field and are willing to ask questions.

 

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (Scope of Practice includes Mental Health) with current practising certificate
  • Post-graduate qualification with a mental health focus
  • Demonstrate a commitment to postgraduate study and professional development.
  • Computer competent
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in Mental Health, including Community based care.

 

Location

Tauranga is a vibrant city and the surroundings are spectacular with beautiful beaches and countryside in close proximity. The Coromandel, East Cape and Auckland are all an easy drive away, as are the ski fields of the Central Plateau and Lake Taupō.
