A survey of expats living in the United Arab Emirates has revealed that a staggering 86% of respondents are proud to call the country home.
The research, which was carried out to celebrate the 45th UAE National Day on December 2nd, also examined the reasons behind expat’s decisions to move to the country. It found that over 70% of those responding to the survey did so because they believed that a move would offer them opportunities to enhance their career.
Around 18% of respondents believed that moving to the country had positively boosted their careers, whilst almost everyone surveyed commented positively on the world renowned high quality of living, a wide range of well paid job opportunities, and a sense of safety within the Emirates.
Recent statistics have shown that around 7.8 million of the UAE’s 9.3 million strong population are expats. Those moving to the country benefit from a rich and rewarding cultural experience - where they can meet people with very similar upbringings and interests to themselves, as well as individuals with very different backgrounds.
