The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Health announced that the recovery rate of patients with Covid-19 had exceeded 90 percent. 

Despite the total number of cases passing 300,000 - recovery numbers are now over 272,000. 

The latest figures from recoveries represented more than double the number of new daily cases throughout the Kingdom. 

The Ministry highlighted that the preventive measures put in place and health protocols had played a key part in keeping the Covid-19 infection rates low. 

According to an international assessment, Saudi Arabia has been ranked amongst the top 20 safest countries during the worldwide pandemic coming in 17th place. The assessment analysis was conducted by Hong Kong-based consortium, Deep Knowledge Group.

During the height of the pandemic, the number of intensive care unit beds were increased in all regions of the Kingdom - with the aim of providing the best protection and safety for their citizens and patients.

Health officials have confirmed that there are around 24,900 active cases with 1,700 patients in a serious or critical condition. 

The total number of deaths throughout the Kingdom has reached 3,470 - 1 percent of the total cases recorded in the country.
