New Private Hospital to be Built in Jeddah for 2022

The Saudi family business group Al-Murjan has partnered up with Mediclinic Middle East to build a brand new private hospital in Jeddah. 

The new hospital is set to open by the second quarter of 2022 and the partnership will form an accredited private hospital with 200 beds. Mediclinic (an affiliate of the UK’s Mediclinic International) will manage the hospital and support the Al-Murjan Group with advisory in planning and construction 

Abdulrahman Khalid bin Mahfouz, chairman of Al-Murjan Group confirmed that the hospital will contain state of the art care facilities, as well as some of the best practitioners using the best practices to meet international standards. These new plans will also contribute towards the Kingdom’s 2030 vision. 

Al-Murjan Medicilinic will provide the Kingdom with more than 1,000 jobs and new opportunities for entrepreneurs within the healthcare sector. 

The hospital will be situated in the northern part of Jeddah and will address the demand for private healthcare in Sauid Arabia. 

It will be eight floors tall and will offer inpatient and outpatient services which include: general surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, emergency, and trauma care.

An investment of SAR1 billion ($266 million) was put forward with room for an expansion of up to an extra 200 beds on adjacent land set for the purpose.
