US officials warn that there could be another coronavirus peak if American citizens do not comply with social distancing rules.

US health officials cautioned on Sunday that it could be a hard and sad week for America due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Admiral Brett Giroir, assistant secretary for health at the Department of Health and Human Services said there could be another peak coming in the next few weeks.

He added that the warning does not mean going without necessities but it does mean that everyone should limit their time outside and wear a mask if they need to venture out.

White House response coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx asked Americans to stay at home and not go out to get groceries or go to the pharmacy. if it is not urgent.

It has been revealed that this is the peak week for hospital admissions and deaths for some of the hardest hit areas like New York, New Jersey and Michigan. New Orleans will see their peak in the next coming weeks.

Guidelines have been brought out and the Trump administration has advised people to stay at home and avoid any gatherings that contain more than 10 people until April 30.
