Saudi German Hospital’s flagship new centre in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province should open in June bosses have confirmed.
Located in Dammam, near the coastal town of Al Khobar and the King Fahd Causeway to Bahrain, the new facility is now said to be two-thirds complete.
Covering almost 40,000 square meters, the hospital will boast a capacity of up to 300 beds and 100 clinics, with eight operating theatres - making it one of the largest in the Eastern Province.
The facility will become the fifth Saudi German Hospital in the Kingdom, with the group already operating centres in Jeddah, Riyadh, Medina and Khamis Mushait, with Sobhi Batterjee, President of the Group, optimistic about the impact their growing portfolio could have on healthcare in the region.
He said: “This is an important milestone for SGH Group as we continue to expand in the region to increase patient access to world-class healthcare.
“The Saudi German Hospital in Dammam is a testament to our group’s commitment to ensure that our patients across Saudi Arabia receive best in class healthcare service and expertise.
“It also reflects our ambition to continue investing and expanding across Saudi Arabia in addition to other markets from the MENA region, and the world, to improve the health and well-being of communities across the globe.”
