The Allergist and Immunologist is a physician who specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the immune system which includes medical conditions such as asthma and eczema as well as specific allergies to foods, medicines, environmental agents such as pollen and insect stings. Allergists and Immunologists train as internists or paediatricians before undertaking further sub specialist training in the field of allergy and immunology.
