The British health care system provides world class facilities and training in a variety of settings from large metropolitan teaching hospitals to rural General Practices.
There are opportunities for Consultants and GPs. Training posts are at the moment, difficult to come by due to the introduction of a computerised selection process.
All physicians must be registered with the General Medical Council which grants Full or Specialist registration. In order to be considered for Specialist Registration, a physician must first seek a review of his training by the Post Graduate Medical Education and Training Board.
Proof of English language fluency is required for non native speakers and an IELTS pass with an average of 6.5 is required.
The majority of physicians can enter the United Kingdom with the Highly Skilled Migrant Visa.
Ireland has a public health care system similar to the UK and a private sector. Training posts are in short supply but there are opportunities for Family Physicians and Specialists
