We are working with one of the world's top 100 multinational health care companies to recruit an experienced Interventional Cardiologist for one of their hospitals in Dubai, UAE. The position is expected to start in 2014. The hospital provides medical services of an international standard in a new purpose built 200+ bed hospital which has an ER Department, Family Medicine Department and a full range of secondary medical services in Medicine, Surgery, O&G and Paediatrics. The hospital holds accreditation with the Joint Commission International (JCI) and provides specialised health care to local and expatriate patients in Dubai.
The post offers excellent opportunities to build a substantial clinical practice in the tax free Emirate of Dubai with good remuneration and a permanent employment contract.You will join an existing team of four Cardiologists who provide Interventional and Non Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology and Paediatric Cardiology services. Your role will be to expand the Interventional service.
You will have completed Residency or other structured postgraduate training in North America, Western Europe, South Africa or Australia or New Zealand and hold a suitable postgraduate qualification for licensure with Dubai Health Care City (DHCC). You should also have undertaken Fellowship or appropriate subspecialist training in Interventional Cardiology and have 3 years experience in independent practice preferably in an University or JCI Hospital.
Suitable qualifications include the American Board of Cardiology, Fellowship from Canada, Australia, South Africa, UK or Ireland, DES from France, Fachartz from Germany or Scandinavian Board Exams. UK and Irish trained physicians must hold the CCT and be on the Specialist Register.
You should have excellent written and spoken English and be familiar with the use of electronic health records. You should also have a good understanding of JCI policies and clinical governance frameworks.
